Lot Size: 23.8 acres

Project Description: Construction of a phased, mixed-use development consisting of up to 1,600 residential units, a 182,000 sq. ft. full-service hotel, 15,000 sq. ft. of ancillary retail, surface and structured parking facilities, public and private streets, neighborhood park and open space, and new upgraded and expanded infrastructure and utilities. 

Process Description: Certification of Environmental Impact Report; General Plan Amendment; amendment to the General Plan Land Use Map for the Santa Clara Station Focus Area to reflect the General Plan change; Zoning Code text amendment to add new zoning designation to facilitate the development of land uses and building types proposed; and Rezoning, Vesting Tentative Parcel Map, and Development Agreement.

Upcoming Public Hearings: On February 5, 2019 the City Council continued the project to the March 26, 2019 City Council meeting in order for the applicants to conduct an additional outreach meeting with the Old Quad neighborhood.

Past Public Hearings: The Gateway Crossings Study session was held on October 24, 2018. The Planning Commission meeting was held on November 14, 2018.  City Council hearings were held on December 4, 2018 and February 5, 2019.
