One day in the early 1900s, August Lawrence left his Minnesota home for a job and never returned. More than a century later, genealogy research solved the mystery of his disappearance. This talk covers strategies that can help you break down even long-standing brick walls.

Sharon Hoyt is a genealogy researcher and consultant from California's Silicon Valley. Her areas of interest include New England, New York, and the Midwest. As a native Californian whose family has lived in the state since the 1880s, she enjoys helping California residents trace their ancestors' paths to the Golden State. She holds a Master's degree in Library and Information Science.
