Therapeutic Recreation ServicesThe City of Santa Clara Park & Recreation Department Therapeutic Recreation Services serves the recreational and social needs of individuals who have disabilities in Santa Clara. Programs such as aquatics, dance, fitness, and social clubs provide participants the opportunity to develop and enhance social skills, communication, personal growth, and focus on one’s abilities rather than disabilities. Therapeutic Recreation Services will be hosting a Sports camp for individuals with developmental and cognitive disabilities August 7th-9th. Participants will be introduced to team building and basic sports skills. Participants must be able to function in a 1:4 staff to participant ratio or provide an attendant.
