Police Chief Sellers to Represent Rotary Club of Santa Clara as President

The Rotary Club of Santa Clara hosted its’ annual installation dinner on December 13. At the event, Past President Lou Ann Alexander announced that Police Chief Mike Sellers as President-Elect. He will serve as President in 2020-2021.

“I am honored and humbled to be elected President of the Rotary Club of Santa Clara,” stated Sellers. “Our club is built on strong leadership and our membership is fully committed to benefitting our community. With the help and support of the Board and fellow Club members, I will do my best to meet the challenge.”

Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations and helps build goodwill and peace in the world. Approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 31,000 Rotary clubs located in 167 countries.

The Rotary Club of Santa Clara participates in local service projects, contributes to many city-wide special events and  facilitates fundraisers to fund community programs and scholarships, such as:

  • Art and Wine Festival
  • Christmas 4 Kids
  • Holiday Wish Drive
  • Bay Area Rebuilding Together (home repair service projects)
  • JW House
  • Enterprise Leadership Conference

  • High School Scholarships
