The City of Santa Clara maintains eleven pools at five park sites in the city;  several are over 50 years old.  While the pools are serviced on a daily basis, as infrastructure ages, issues arise more frequently and replacement parts are difficult to source.  On March 12, 2019 the circulation pump’s impeller at the International Swim Center (ISC) failed. Coincidentally, the Mary Gomez Pool had issues with a pipe break resulting in a facility shutdown.

As City staff are working on repairs and replacements, the ISC 50 meter pool and training pool will be offline for 2 to 6 weeks and the Mary Gomez Pool should be back on line by Monday, March 25, 2019. During the International Swim Center shut down, staff will be working on general facility maintenance originally planned for the week of March 25-29.  We appreciate your patience as we work to make necessary repairs.  For more information, contact the Parks & Recreation department at 408-615-2260 or e-mail
