About the City Clerk
The City Clerk attends all City Council meetings and is responsible for the recording, writing and maintenance of City Council proceedings. The City Clerk conducts municipal elections and acts as a compliance officer for local, state and federal statutes including the Political Reform Act, the Brown Act, the Public Records Act and all legislative actions ensuring transparency to the public. The City Clerk also administers oaths and arranges for ceremonial and official functions.

City Clerk's Department Mission
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of the proceedings and actions of the City Council; administer municipal election; keep informed on matters before the City Council and provide information and assistance regarding City services and policies to the Council, staff and the public.

About the City Auditor
The City Auditor audits and approves all bills, invoices, payrolls, demands, or charges against the City government. With the advice of the City Attorney, the City Auditor also advises the City Council as to the regularity, legality and correctness of any claims, demands or charges. Additionally, the City Auditor works closely with the City Manager and the Director of Finance for the effective administrative implementation of Council goals in conformity with City, County, State and Federal laws and regulations.

City Auditor Mission
Ensure that internal accounting control procedures and City policies regarding the disbursement of funds are followed.
