Edit My Picture Cheryl Lee
Program Coordinator-Branch Manager

Cheryl Lee is the Branch Manager at the Santa Clara City Library’s Northside Branch Library. She is a 2017 Community Hero recognized by California State Assemblymember Kansen Chu, a 2014 Library Journal Mover and Shaker in the area of Marketing, 2011 Eureka! Leadership fellow for the California State Library, and a 2009 American Library Association Emerging Leader. She is passionate about creating partnerships with local start-ups, businesses, and non-profits to provide programs at Northside Branch Library. Cheryl served on the 2017 Anna Dewdney Read Together Award, 2016 Newbery Book Award committee and previously was on the 2011 Geisel Book Award committee for the American Library Association. She has been has worked in Public Libraries for 22 years for library systems including the Palo Alto City Library and the Mountain View Public Library.

Branch Librarian 

Angela has worked for the Santa Clara City Library for over 19 years. She was the first recipient of the California Library Association Young Adult Award winner for her work as our fearless Teen Librarian. She was the former Grant Coordinator and her work included large and small scale grants, taking them from conception to completion. Her grant work has garnered her awards for 2012 PR Excellence Award in publicity with the California Library Association and the John Cotton Dana award through the American Library Association. She creates dynamic and fun programming for all ages and is secretly a unicorn.  
   
 Matt Matt Palacios
Library Assistant I

Library Assistant Matt Palacios has worked in Public Libraries for the past 15 years at the Palo Alto City Library and the San Jose Public Library. At Northside Branch Library, he is responsible for facilities maintenance and bookings including the Group Study Rooms and Community Room, shelving lead, statistics, and assisting with library programs. When he is not a the library, you can find him at a Giants or Warrior game! 
   
Nicole Nicole Jarvis
Library Assistant I

Library Assistant Nicole Jarvis has worked in Public Libraries for over 18 years at the Santa Clara City Library's Central Park Library and at Los Gatos Public Library. At Northside Branch Library, she is our Program Assistant who works closely with our Librarians and Library Assistants to help organize logistics and orders supplies for library programs. She is also our customer service and periodicals lead. When she is not at work, she can be found hanging out with her husband and three children.
   
 Andy Andy Paul
Library Assistant I

Library Assistant Andy Paul has over 16 years of library experience and is a first year graduate student pursuing a Masters of Library and Information Science. Andy studied Psychology and Anthropology at San José State University and used to play in a band that toured the US a few times. At Northside Branch Library, he is our web and social media lead and a program assistant. He is also in charge of the community information board, the TV display board, the print/copy room, and periodicals.  When not working at the Library, you can find Andy hiking, gardening, traveling, cooking, playing musical instruments, taking photos, or working on his 1963 Buick Le Sabre. He also speaks Spanish.

Library Assistant I

Library Assistant Lorena Romero is the newest member at Northside Branch Library. She used to work at Sunnyvale Public Library for almost two years. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Creative Arts from San Jose State University and will be returning for her Master's Degree in Library and Information Science next year. She is excited about starting up Spanish language programming at Northside in the Fall 2017. When she is not at the library, she is playing video games with her best friends, obsessing over beluga whales, or reading One Piece graphic novel series.
