YAC Sports Camps | flyer
Join us at the YAC for fun-filled summer days of sports, weekly field trips, excursions to Warburton Pool, and sports-related arts & crafts projects. Your summer will be packed from beginning to end with outrageous fun!
Campers will meet each day at the Youth Activity Center. Participants are required to wear athletic shoes and bring a sack lunch daily. Registration fee includes supervision, field trip admission, bus transportation and a camp t-shirt. Camp program hours are from 9 am – 4 pm, Monday through Friday.
Sport Adventure Camp, 5-7 years - Participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of basketball, soccer, and t-ball along with lots of recreation games. Each week will include a trip to Warburton Pool and a fun field trip! This camp is for ages 5-7. Supervision 8:1
Sports Jam Camp, 8-10 years - Experience action-packed summer days filled with sports and games at the YAC. Participants age 8-10 will enjoy field trips, sports, journeys to local swim centers, and making new friends. Sports Jam encourages everyone to participate end emphasizes sportsmanship and fun! Supervision 10:1
Sport Escape Camp, 11-13 years - Designed specifically for teens age 11-13, Sport Escape participants will play challenging games and sports, swim at the International Swim Center, make new friends and go on cool teen trips. Their summer will be packed from beginning to end with outrageous fun. Supervision 10:1
Extended Sports Camp Care - Extended hours before camp is offered to participants in YAC Sports Camps and Teen Breakaway. Participants who need to get a jump start on their day will take part in supervised free play. Program meets 7:30-9:00 am, Monday through Friday. Registration is required.
After Camp Care - Free After Camp Care is available at the YAC for Sports Camp and Teen Breakaway participants, from 4 pm—6 pm, Monday through Thursday and 4 pm—5:30 pm on Friday. Ask for details when you sign up for summer programs.

Leader in Training Experience (LITE)
The City of Santa Clara Parks & Recreation Department recruits 14-16 year olds to volunteer in our summer camp programs. LITE's gain valuable leadership skills, build self-esteem, and develop essential tools to help them become well-rounded individuals. Responsibilities will be to assist staff members in leading games, sports, arts and crafts, nature activities, and provide assistance on field trips.

Jr. Giants Summer Program: Confidence, Integrity, Leadership and Teamwork
Ages: 5 years to 10 years, co-ed
Join us for a summer of baseball fun! Junior Giants is a free, non-competitive and coed baseball program for youth ages 5-10. Working together with local agencies, families and volunteers, Junior Giants reaches into communities and offers youth a chance to learn the basics of baseball during the summer while also discovering the importance of essential life skills.
Established in 1994, Junior Giants now annually serves over 25,000 participants in 90 leagues. Junior Giants is more than just baseball and offers several distinct programs to further enrich a player's experience. Players learn the Junior Giants Four Bases of Character Development: Confidence, Integrity, Leadership and Teamwork, as well as the importance of Health, Education and Bullying Prevention.
