The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) is an advisory body to the City Council on matters relative to modifying or expanding the City's recreational and commuter bikeway system.   Its goal is to encourage recreational and commuter bicycling by promoting safe, convenient, well-designed facilities and by evaluating local bicycle-related projects.

Membership Announcement

The City of Santa Clara’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) is looking for individuals who would be interested in becoming a member of the Committee. The BPAC is an advisory body to the City Council on matters related to modifying or expanding the City's recreational and commuter bikeway system and pedestrian walkway system. It's goal is to encourage recreational and commuter bicycling and walking by promoting safe, convenient, well-designed facilities and by evaluating local bicycle and pedestrian related projects. There are currently three openings on the Committee and members serve a three-year term. Interested applicants must either live or work within the City of Santa Clara. Please contact Marshall Johnson at (408) 615-3023 or mjohnson@santaclaraca.gov to apply or for any questions/comments. Applications must be received by Friday October 18, 2019. The BPAC will be considering applicants during their October 28, 2019 meeting.

Meeting information

BPAC meetings are held on the fourth Monday in January, March, June, August and October at 4:00pm at City Hall, Council Chambers, and are open to the public.  Agendas are posted online, at the City Clerk's office or available through Traffic Engineering at (408) 615-3000.
