Urban Water Management Plan

California law requires that the City of Santa Clara review and update its Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) every five years. In addition, the Water Conservation Bill of 2009 required the City to adopt water use goals for 2015 and 2020 which would help contribute to an overall 20% reduction in urban per capita water use statewide by 2020.

Following a public hearing on May 24, 2011, the City Council adopted the 2010 UWMP as well as water use goals for 2015 and 2020.

A copy of the City's 2010 UWMP is found below.
