The City’s website has been redesigned to reveal new information for you to discover what’s available in Santa Clara.

couplecomputerThe City website incorporates the new branding. The goal of the rebranding effort is to promote economic growth while encouraging pride in the community. Our strategy focuses on Santa Clara’s centrality and its sense of possibilities. We believe this strategy will attract new businesses, residents and visitors to the city while staying true to the culture and heritage that have made the city so great for generations. The colors are symbolic. The orange—terra cotta color represents the iconic Mission Santa Clara de Asis’s tile roof. The stone color is derived from the walls and the deep blue represents the beautiful California weather and outdoors. Our website was redesigned for a cleaner more modern look. Inspirational images represent the future of our great city.

We improved organization of the content to provide easier navigation for you to find the services that you are looking for. The biggest changes to the site’s architectural structure are that the formerly stand-alone Police and Library Department websites were merged into the City website for a more cohesive user experience, although the web addresses remain the same.

Be aware that with the launch of the new site the Search feature will not immediately have indexed all the pages. Search results will improve over time.

New features include the “I want to” menu that helps you discover resources for living in Santa Clara, for growing a business and learning about the employment opportunities here.

Please watch our Video Tour for more information.

This was a City-wide effort that involved team members from across the City departments and we are seeking community member input for the last stages of the redesign. Visit Open City Hall to take our website user survey and to provide feedback. The survey will be open for two months—from September to October 2015. At the close of the survey, we will analyze the data and implement suggestions which will benefit the community.
