Business/Commercial Hazardous Waste

Per City Ordinance No. 1894, recycling is mandatory for commercial businesses in Santa Clara that generate four cubic yards or more of garbage per week. Mission Trail Waste Systems currently provides commercial business customers (upon request and at no charge) with a 96-gallon recycling container, collected once a week, for single-stream recycling. Commercial business customers can recycle mixed paper, cardboard, and aluminum/glass/plastic beverage containers through this program. Commercial business customers requiring more than 96 gallons per week of recycling service can obtain a larger container that will be charged at a rate of approximately 75%-80% of the cost of the corresponding garbage container service level by calling Mission Trail Waste Systems at (408) 727-5365.
