City Street Trees

The City maintains a City street tree on the frontage of all single-family residential properties. For requests to plant trees in residential public right of way in the front yard, or to request tree work involving trimming, spraying, root pruning, or brace and cable work requests, call the Street Corporation Yard at (408) 615-3080. Do NOT trim or remove a City street tree without contacting the Street Corporation Yard. Having a City street tree trimmed or removed by anyone other than City personnel is punishable by a fine of up to $1,000, plus the cost of replacing the tree, as well as any associated administrative costs.
