Music
Share your favorite music, with your child. Any type of music – classical, jazz, pop, etc. - except that which is loud or violent is fine. Also introduce them to music from your culture. Children who are connected to their heritage feel safer and more secure.
Sing whatever you like, whenever you feel like it. Your child loves the sound of your voice better than any other sound! Dance together – everyone feels better when they’ve moved to some upbeat music. Been a long time since you sung a child’s song? If you make it a habit to sing a special lullaby before bedtime, your child will connect it with going to sleep, and going to bed will be easier.
