It is the responsibility of each business to renew their Business Tax Certificate before it expires. Per City Code Section 3.40.100, the tax for the renewal of such certificate shall be due and payable upon expiration of the prior certificate. As specified in City Code Section 3.40.110, if the Business Tax Certificate is not renewed within 30 days of the expiration date, a penalty equal to 100 percent (100%) of the total tax will be assessed.
Please note that changes to your business (e.g. location, type of business, business entity, ownership, etc.) will require a new Business Tax Certificate to be submitted.
If you have received a Renewal Notice with a message to renew online as an option, you may go to Business License Online Renewal
