Community members are encouraged to participate in one of or more of the following events:
Keep an eye out for the CAP mobile workshop! Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the CAP process and the City’s unique approach to greenhouse gas reduction. We will also have interactive activities for adults and kids, as well as an anonymous community survey about household energy use and tips for making a personal effort toward a more sustainable Santa Clara.
Mobile workshop dates and locations coming soon! Check back regularly for new information or sign up for updates to be added to the CAP mailing list.
The City will unveil draft CAP measures during a one-hour Open House prior to the Planning Commission session where the draft measures will be discussed. The CAP project team will be there to personally answer participant questions at four interactive poster stations. This informal, informational Open House will help communicate the details of the CAP project so that community members are well-informed prior to the Commission presentation and discussion later that evening.
Focus Groups and Stakeholder Interviews
The City is also soliciting feedback on the CAP from local businesses and community groups. In addition to the scheduled focus groups below, the City will conduct stakeholder interviews throughout February with interested community members. If you have not received an invitation to join a focus group or interview and are interested in participating, please contact Payal Bhagat at (408)615-2458 to be included in this effort.
