The Santa Clara Golf & Tennis Club was developed by the City’s Sports & Open Space Authority on 155 acres of City-owned property. It is part of the Santa Clara Trade and Convention Center Complex which also includes the Convention Center, Hyatt Regency of Santa Clara Hotel, and Techmart office building.

The golf and tennis facility is operated by the Authority under a management agreement with American Golf Corporation. It features a championship 18 hole golf course designed by Robert Muir Graves. The golf course is a links style, par 72, with distances ranging from 6,723 from the championship tees to 5,521 from the forward tees.

The course is challenging for all skill levels with gently rolling hills and tree lined fairways. The golf course plays to a 72.1 rating and a slope of 118. The golf course was constructed on a sanitary landfill and uses both reclaimed and potable water for irrigation. Santa Clara Golf and Tennis recently went through a major tee box renovation project. 4 tee boxes were enlarged and re-leveled to improve both their look and playability. Over the past three years, a total of 9 tee boxes have been renovated on the golf course.

The Santa Clara Golf & Tennis Club received a “3-Star Award Winner” and recognition as one of the best value golf courses in the Bay Area from Golf Digest Magazine. A 3-Star ranking is considered an excellent rating for a municipal course; based on overall golf experience, the value for the money, the standard of service at the facility, the condition of the course, and normal pace of play.

The Santa Clara Golf & Tennis Club also includes a lighted driving range, practice putting and chipping greens, 7 lighted tennis courts, a Golf Pro-Shop, Men’s and Women’s locker rooms with shower facilities, and plenty of parking. Santa Clara Golf & Tennis has become one of the most popular courses in the South Bay for juniors to play and practice.

Our Junior Golf Program has developed into one of the best values and a great way to introduce the game to juniors of all skill levels. The property also features David’s Restaurant, Bar, and Banquet Facilities; a great place to relax after a round of golf or to host your next event.

Driving Range Hours:

Open 1/2 hour after sunrise daily (Tuesdays, after 9 am)

Closed periodically on Monday at 4 pm (Winter)/6 pm (April to October). Call the golf shop to check schedule.

Tuesday - Friday at 9 pm, and Saturday and Sunday at Sunset

Tennis Court Hours:

Monday - Friday, 7 am to 9 pm
Saturday and Sunday, 7am to Dusk
