From August 16 through Labor Day, Santa Clara Police Department will be out in force as part of the annual “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign designed to curb driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. This nationwide movement will include high-visibility enforcement, high-profile events and will be supported by national paid advertising, creating a comprehensive campaign to curb impaired driving.
Agencies throughout Santa Clara County will be operating DUI checkpoints and deploying patrol officers looking for drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Many of the County's 13 law enforcement agencies will also be using social media to provide real-time updates during the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign.
