It wouldn’t seem like the holiday season without the annual performance of “The Christmas Mouse” by the Santa Clara Players, a play for the whole family based on the music of Linda Arnold. It tells the tale of a mouse who lives with the Robinson family. Mrs. Robinson is determined to win the Gingerbread House contest this year, but her entry is destroyed by the mouse while looking for food for his family. After some twists and turns, there’s a happy ending and the mouse learns about life and getting along with the big people.
The production is recommended for ages 4 and up. Curtain times at the Triton Museum Hall Pavilion are 7 p.m. on Fridays Dec. 6 and 13, 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturdays, Dec. 7 and 14, and 3 p.m. on Sundays, Dec. 8 and 15. For ticket information, visit SCPlayers.org.
