Roberta Jones Junior Theatre offers opportunities for children of all ages to explore stage performance in 2013, including these productions:
- “The Music Man,” the Tony-award-winning Broadway musical will be presented March 15-24. Auditions for children ages 8-18 will be held on Jan. 2 and 3, 3:30-6:30 p.m., and everyone who auditions will be cast in the show. Parents should be aware of the rehearsal time commitments as well as their responsibility in providing costumes, make-up and production assistance. A required informational meeting for parents will be held on Sat., Jan. 5, 2:30-3:30 p.m. at the Community Recreation Center.
- “Disney’s Winnie the Pooh Kids” will take to the stage June 14-16. Children ages 7-13 are invited to audition on Tue., April 2 and 3, 3:30-6:30 p.m. at the Community Recreation Center.
- Creative Dramatics classes for ages 4-5 and ages 6-8 will also be offered this spring. Children explore creativity through interactive storytelling and improvisational games in the Imagine Me (ages 4-5) and Imagine Me, Too (ages 6-8) classes. Children must be able to leave their parents with ease to attend this class.
