A motorist was stopped for a mechanical violation. He was under the influence of a controlled substance and possessed drug paraphernalia. The man was arrested and taken to the county jail.

Officers were sent to on a call for a suspicious woman involved in a theft. Officers located the woman and found she had several arrest warrants. The woman was arrested and taken to the county jail.

Location: Scott Blvd. & Martin Ave.
A motorist was stopped by Officer McGuire. The passenger in the vehicle had a $400,000 arrest warrant for contempt of court. He was arrested and taken to the county jail.

A motorist was stopped by Officer Williams. The driver had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and failed to complete the sobriety test. The driver was arrested and taken to the county jail.

A resident was home alone and heard suspicious noises in their backyard. As the resident looked out a window, they saw a man wearing dark clothing removing their window screen. When the person saw he was being watched, he fled the area. Officers flooded the area and were unable to locate the suspicious person. No arrests were made.

A suspicious man was stopped by Officer Henderson in the parking lot of the Bella Vista Motel. The man had several arrest warrants and was taken to the county jail.

A dorm student at Santa Clara University left her room unlocked during spring break. Upon her return she discovered her passport was stolen.

A man approached a woman on the sidewalk and ripped her necklace from her neck. The man then pushed the woman into nearby bushes and fled into an awaiting vehicle. The man is described as a black male, 35 to 40 years old, 180 to 220 lbs., wearing dark clothing. No arrests were made.

Location: Monroe St & Reed St.
A motorist was stopped and the officers learned his license was suspended. One of the occupants inside the vehicle possessed methamphetamine and was arrested. He was taken to the county jail. The motorist was issued a citation and his vehicle was towed.

An unknown person forced open the front door to a residence. Laptops and electronic devices were taken. No arrests were made.

A man damaged the cash register inside 7-Eleven when the clerk refused to accept the return of an item with a suspicious receipt. The man was located by officers and arrested for felony vandalism.

DUI & Hit/Run Arrest
Location: 3767 Adriatic Dr.
A motorist struck a vehicle and left her vehicle abandoned. She was found by officers sitting inside another vehicle nearby. It was obvious to the officers she was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and impaired. She was arrested and taken to the county jail.

A motorist was stopped for erratic driving by Officer Stephens. She displayed symptoms of being under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and was arrested. She was taken to Santa Clara Police holding facility for processing and released later with a court date.
