Join us on Thursday, November 21 at 12:30 pm for our Lunch Meet Program. After 40 years, Council on Aging Silicon Valley has changed their name to Sourcewise. Come find out why and learn about the programs and services offered through Sourcewise. You will learn how Sourcewise educates, guides, and supports adults and seniors. Everyone is welcome to attend this free program.
Hearing Testing Friday, November 8, 9:00-11:00am
Free hearing testing is coming up again in November! Screenings will be provided by licensed audiologists and San Jose State Univ. Speech and Language Pathology interns. A representative from California Telephone Access Program will also be available to provide information and assistance in obtaining specialized phones for those that qualify. Appointments are limited, and registration is required at the front desk. Hearing screening check-in will be on the second floor in the Health and Wellness seating area.
Stress Less: Reducing Stress Together

Stress can follow us everywhere, and can often leave us feeling low in energy. This ongoing support group will offer you a journey toward balance and well-being. Join us each Saturday as we work to reduce stress, learn some relaxation techniques, and have a refreshing, enjoyable weekend.
Book Club: Understanding Our Life Through Stories
Thursdays, Nov. 14th-Feb. 28th 10:00am-11:00am Room 149
Participation is free, but space is limited. Pre-registration required. Based on the concept of narrative therapy, this new support group will be reading and discussing fiction that explores our perspectives and beliefs about aging, and will allow participants to discover a more well-rounded vision of their lives. **
**Facilitated by supervised, pre-licensed therapists through partnership with Process Therapy Institute, a counseling and education-oriented nonprofit organization committed to enhancing self-awareness and improving the quality of relationships.
