You're invited to attend the Santa Clara Fire Museum Grand Opening on December 6, 2013 at 5:00 P.M. The new fire museum will be part of the Historic Home Tour
, on the weekend of December 6th and 7th. The museum building is located at 1900 Walsh Avenue
, behind Santa Clara Fire Station #2 in the old Training Center. Visitors can view antique fire apparatus, such as the 1913 Seagraves Chemical Wagon, the Department’s first motorized vehicle built 100 years ago. The newly restored 1920 Model TT Hose wagon will also be on display for the museum opening. The museum will showcase memorabilia that has been in our department since its founding in the mid-19th century, as well as modern firefighting equipment and photographs.
