Traffic Violation
Lawrence Expressway / Cabrillo Avenue
An officer witnessed a male motorist run the red light from eastbound El Camino Real onto northbound Lawrence Expressway. The officer attempted to initiate a car stop however the driver fled from the officer. The officer pursued the red light violator until the speeds reached an unsafe situation for fellow motorists. The officer ended the pursuit. This incident was turned over to investigators for follow-up.

1800 Block of Nelson Drive
Officers responded to an in-progress burglary on the 1800 block of Nelson Drive. As the officers arrived, they observed the suspect running from the residence with a laptop computer. Officers chased the individual on foot through several back yards until the suspect entered an unlocked door of a residence. A perimeter was secured and officers activated the Special Response Team to hail the suspect from the residence. The suspect surrendered without incident. He was arrested and transported to the County jail.

3071 Stevens Creek Boulevard
Loss Prevention personnel at Safeway witnessed a male suspect conceal several items in his satchel and leave the grocery store without paying. Safeway Loss Prevention personnel attempted to detain the suspect which resulted in an altercation. Eventually, he was placed in custody. Officers arrested the man for the robbery, who was in violation of his probation, and transported him to the County jail.

5403 Stevens Creek Boulevard
The building at this address is under construction. When workers returned to the site after the holiday weekend, they discovered copper tubing and valves missing. Officers assessed the crime scene and forwarded the information to the Detective Bureau for their investigation.

Indecent Exposure
Bracher Park
An officer was dispatched to Bracher Park where a man had exposed himself to two juveniles. Upon arrival, officers attempted to search for the man and were not able to locate the suspect. The man is described as a white male adult, wearing a red 49ers jacket and blue or light green jeans.

Driving Under the Influence
San Tomas Expressway / Cabrillo Avenue
An officer witnessed an individual driving northbound on San Tomas Expressway in the southbound lanes. The male driver failed a field sobriety test and was arrested without incident for driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.

Drug Arrest
600 Block of El Camino Real
An officer spotted a vehicle with expired registration and contacted the driver in a parking lot. He displayed symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance. A vehicle search yielded methamphetamine, marijuana, a butterfly knife, and other drug paraphernalia. The man was arrested and transported to the County jail.

A female motorist was pulled over for an unsafe lane change. During the contact, the officer determined she had an arrest warrant. She was arrested and transported to the County jail.

Driving Under the Influence
2850 Augustine Drive
Officers were sent to traffic collision in the drive-thru line at McDonald’s. One of the involved drivers fled the scene when asked to produce his insurance information. Officers in the area were able to locate the man and determined he was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. The man was arrested and transported to the County jail.

A male motorist was stopped for brake light not functioning. Upon contact, the officer learned the man had an outstanding civil warrant for his arrest, totaling $25,000. The man was taken into custody without incident and transported to the County jail.

Drug Arrest
Moorpark and San Tomas Expressway
An officer stopped a male driver for a vehicle code violation. The driver had a suspended driver’s license and was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. The passenger in the vehicle was wanted by California State Parole. Both subjects were arrested without incident and transported to the County jail.

Weapons Investigation
1400 Block of Coleman Avenue
Officers responded to a report of an adult male in a parking lot pointing a weapon at vehicles passing by. The officers located the man and found he possessed a toy rifle mounted with a laser on it and a homemade hand gun. After interviewing the individual, the officers determined his mental health was a concern. He was transported to a local hospital.
