Suspicious Circumstances
Location:
Hillmar Street / Park Avenue
An Officer observed two individuals walking down the street carrying a chop saw and weed eater. The subjects claimed they found the tools in the garbage. After conducting a records check, one subject was arrested for an outstanding warrant and possession of drug paraphernalia. Meanwhile, the tools were booked into evidence for safe keeping.

Burglary

3300 block of Monroe Street
Officers responded to a call on the 3300 block of Monroe Street. The victim entered his apartment and heard a loud crash. The victim saw the blinds on the rear sliding glass door moving and discovered he had been burglarized. Despite a comprehensive search of the area, the suspect(s) remain at large.

A black adult male entered Little Ceaser’s Pizza and produced a gun. The suspect collected cash from the cash register and fled on foot. The suspect remains at large.

Drunk In Public
Location:
El Camino Real / Scott Boulevard
An Officer was dispatched to investigate an individual who appeared to be intoxicated near the intersection of El Camino Real at Scott Boulevard. The male suspect was under the influence and was taken to the temporary holding facility for booking.

NOTE: The Winter Holiday Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over anti-driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol enforcement period began Friday, December 13 and will run through January 1, 2014. All available officers will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint (December 20), a saturation patrol (December 31) and routine patrols throughout the campaign looking for tell-tale signs of an impaired driver.

The national Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign is led by the California Office of Traffic Safety, which funds the campaign through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office manages this funding among the 13 law enforcement agencies within Santa Clara County.

Drug Possession
Location:
Montague Expressway / Lafayette Street
An Officer stopped a vehicle for multiple vehicle code violations, including expired registration tags. Upon contact with the male driver, the Officer arrested the individual for driving on a suspended license, under the influence, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Meanwhile, the female passenger was arrested for under the influence and an outstanding $20,000 misdemeanor warrant. Both subjects were transported to the County jail.
