Start the new year off right with some information and encouragement on living a healthy lifestyle as we promote Healthy Weight Week here at the Senior Center. Nurses are available to answer questions, provide education, and can meet for 1:1 appointments to help you achieve a healthier lifestyle.Help us celebrate Healthy Weight Week!

Pre-registration is required. Each class costs $6 with Santa Clara senior discount, or $8 non-resident. Join us for some interesting discussion and up-to-date information. Please register early (classes will be cancelled due to low enrollment).

Expressive Arts Support Group New! #51852
Tuesdays, 9:30am-11:30am Thru February 18th Room 149
Moving beyond words through art allows us to mourn our losses and begin to heal. This new support group will explore grief through the medium of art. No artistic experience or talent is required. Please be able to make a commitment to attend all six weeks. There is no cost to participate, but due to the limited class size, pre-registration is required. **
**Facilitated by supervised, pre-licensed therapists through partnership with Process Therapy Institute, a counseling and education-oriented nonprofit organization committed to enhancing self-awareness and improving the quality of relationships.
"What are you going to do with your body when you are through using it?" Our January 16 Lunch Meet Program will feature representatives from the non-profit Funeral Consumers Alliance. Program highlights will include funeral options in our area, the importance of making decisions while you are still alive, how to discuss your final wishes with family and friends, how the funeral industry works and what happens when a death occurs, up-front and hidden costs, Advance Directives and POLST forms, new trends, and more. Everyone is welcome to attend this free program. We meet in Room 232 at 12:30 pm and you may bring your lunch if you like.
Welcome Newcomers is held the third Thursday of each month at 10:30 am. Come and hear a presentation highlighting the Senior Centers wide range of programs and services. A tour of the Center will follow the presentation and any questions you may have will be answered. Welcome Newcomers is held January 16 in Room 205.
