Hit and Run
Location: 1500 Block of Franklin Street
An Officer was dispatched to the 1500 block of Franklin Street on the report of a hit and run collision. A witness saw four male suspects walk away from the scene. The Officer located a similar vehicle in the area. A Records check revealed the vehicle was reported stolen from Berkeley. The victim of the auto theft was contacted and reported the suspect was most likely her juvenile son. Three of the juveniles identified the fourth juvenile as the driver of the vehicle at the time of the collision. He was arrested and transported to Juvenile Hall.

Location: 1005 Railroad Avenue
Officers responded to the Santa Clara Railroad Station on the report of two subjects hit by a train. One individual was deceased and the other had minor injuries. The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office has jurisdiction over trains operated by the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority and took over the investigation accordingly.

Location: 800 Block of Market Street
An Officer responded to the 800 block of Market Street on the report of a male suspect brandishing a knife on the Santa Clara University (SCU) campus. An SCU Security Officer had chased the suspect to the rear of a home. The suspect pulled a box cutter on the SCU Security Officer and made death threats. SCPD took the suspect into custody without incident.

Location: 600 Block of Fairlanne Avenue
A resident contacted Dispatchers to report the rear glass slider door had been broken while the home was unoccupied. An Officer responded to conduct a burglary investigation. The suspect remains at large.

Wednesday, January 22, 2014
Location: 3900 block of Rivermark Parkway
A Traffic Officer stopped a speeding motorist on Montague Expressway. As he reached for his citation book on his motorcycle, he watched the female driver (suspect #1) run from the vehicle. He ordered the passenger (suspect #2) to remain inside the vehicle. Meanwhile, he chased the suspect through Rivermark Plaza and a neighboring apartment complex before placing the suspect under arrest. A Records check revealed suspect #1 was driving on a suspended license, the vehicle being driven was stolen and she had a no bail felony warrant. She was transported to the County jail.
Suspect #2 fled the scene of the incident and remains at large.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon
Location: 1000 Block of Reeve Street
Communications dispatched Officers to an in-progress fight on the 1000 block of Reeve Street.
Responding Officers located the two male combatants. The victim sustained injuries that required medical attention. The suspect was arrested for felony battery and violation of his probation.

Traffic Accident – Minor Injury
Location: 800 Block of Aldo Avenue
Units responded to an automobile and bicycle traffic accident on the 800 block of Aldo Avenue. The bicyclist suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The male suspect fled the scene of the collision. Officers were able to identify the suspect and located him at his residence. He displayed symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol and failed a field sobriety test. He was arrested for driving under the influence and failure to stop at the scene of an accident.

Location: 3700 El Camino Real
An Officer was dispatched to Kohl’s on the report of a shoplifter in custody. Upon contact, it was discovered the male suspect had several warrants for his arrest. He was arrested and transported to the County jail.

Saturday, January 25, 2014
Location: 2500 Block of El Camino Real
An Officer was patrolling the parking lot of the Granada Inn on the 2500 block of El Camino Real when he spotted a female suspect trying to hide from him in the front seat of a car. When contacted, she lied about her identity. Further investigation revealed the suspect had eight (8) no bail warrants for her arrest and was in possession of a controlled substance. She also had several identifications and financial documents that did not belong to her. She was arrested and transported to the County jail.
