Please Join Us For "Lunch Meet"
Thursday, May 15 • 12:30–1:30 p.m.
Join us as we go back in time to when the Santa Clara Valley was known as “the Valley of Hearts Delight” and spring brought a sea of blossoming fruit trees. Legendary Locals chronicle the history of Santa Clara, beginning in 1769 when a small group of Spanish military and civilians set foot on the new Mission Santa Clara to support the mission and found a permanent colony. Highlights of this presentation by Bob Tower and Ken Lichtenstein will include:

  • Early Santa Clara settlers
  • City government officials
  • Old and new Santa Clara businesses
  • A new era in Santa Clara following World War II
  • Sports personalities who lived and trained in Santa Clara
  • Citizens who formed the City of Santa Clara into the city we know today
  • Santa Clarian's who found fame else where.
Everyone is welcome to attend this free program. Bring your friends and relatives. There is no fee for this program and no registration is required. Bring your lunch if you would like.
