Stolen Vehicle
Lick Mill Boulevard and Park View Drive
An officer responded to the southeast corner of Lick Mill Boulevard and Park View Road on the report of an unoccupied vehicle blocking traffic. According to the arriving officer, the vehicle was blocking the #2 lane of northbound Lick Mill Boulevard. The vehicle had been ransacked and several personal items were found in the street. The suspect(s) remain at large.

An officer contacted the registered owner, who was unaware his vehicle had been stolen. The victim’s wallet, credit cards and checks were stolen from the vehicle.

NOTE: Auto burglaries continue to occur. In many of the cases, the suspect(s) gained entry into the vehicle, by reaching in through open window(s), and opening one of the front doors from the inside. The suspect(s) then rummaged through the entire vehicle, removing items from the glove compartment, center console, cargo area and/or trunk. Despite the heat, residents are reminded to remove valuable items from their vehicle, roll up their windows, and lock their vehicle.

3400 Block of Lafayette Street
An officer was dispatched to the 3400 block of Lafayette Street on the report of suspicious activity. The reporting party witnessed three male subjects walking away from a business carrying spray cans and headed southbound toward an abandoned building on the south/east corner of Lafayette Street and Aldo Avenue.

The officer approached the suspects as they were returning to their vehicle. One of the subjects had paint on his hands and spray paint cans in his pockets. An officer located five (5) fresh graffiti tags under the northbound bridge for Lafayette Street. Subject #1 was arrested. A search of the vehicle revealed three back packs, each of which had additional spray paint cans. Subject #2 and #3 were released at the scene.

3000 Block of Homestead Road
The victim and her husband were walking out of a housing complex on the 3000 block of Homestead Road when they were robbed by a male suspect at gunpoint. The suspect pointed his gun at the victim, told her not to shout, and yanked her necklaces off her neck. The suspect then ran northbound. He was not apprehended.

Ellena Drive near Los Padres Boulevard
An officer was dispatched to Ellena Drive near Los Padres Boulevard on the report of an assault with a deadly weapon. An unknown suspect(s) struck the victim in the head with an unknown object and stabbed the victim in the back. The victim suffered blunt trauma to the back left-side of his head and a stab wound measuring approximately 1 ½ in length to the upper left side of his back. During the incident, the victim's wallet containing bank cards and identification was stolen. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The suspect(s) are unknown and at large.

2600 Block of El Camino Real
An officer was dispatched to Savemart on the 2600 block of El Camino Real to investigate a male suspect being held by loss prevention specialists for theft. The stolen food items, estimated at approximately $950, were returned. A Records check revealed he was on active probation. He was arrested, cited and released.

2400 block of Lafayette Street
A male subject had an outstanding warrant for $50,000. He was contacted by an officer who agreed to meet him in the parking lot of Home Depot on the 2400 block of Lafayette Street. He was arrested for the outstanding warrant and transported to the County jail.

Drunk in Public
300 Block of Landeros Drive
An officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Landeros Drive on the report of an intoxicated male passed out in the driveway. The subject displayed objective signs of intoxication. He was arrested and transported to the Santa Clara police Department’s temporary holding facility.

NOTE: A large crowd gathered to listen to the Silicon Valley Houserockers at the Santa Clara Street Dance in Franklin Square from 6:00-9:30pm. There were no arrests.

Warrant Arrest – Felony
1700 Lincoln Street
An officer contacted a subject to the rear of the church at 1700 Lincoln Street. The subject was found to have two felony no bail warrants. The subject was arrested and transported to the County jail. .
