On August 19, 2014, the City of Santa Clara approved implementation of Plan 2 of the Water Shortage Contingency Plan. This plan includes prohibiting outdoor watering between 9 A.M. and 6 P.M. in addition to the conservation actions in the City’s Water Conservation Action Plan previously adopted on July 19th.
The implementation of this plan is a result of the ongoing drought conditions plaguing most of California, and to comply with the emergency regulations recently adopted by the State Water Resources Control Board.
Please check the Drought Update page for up-to-date information on water restrictions, recommendations, and other pertinent information regarding drought. Also be sure to visit the Water Conservation page for tips and resources to help conserve water.
