Parks & Recreation classes are a perfect way to spice up your life. Learn to dance, kick a ball, cook an exotic meal, throw a pot, increase your flexibility, play an instrument, knit a scarf, dunk a ball, defend yourself, ride a horse, paint a masterpiece, somersault, or sing! The possibilities are endless!!!

Santa Clara Art & Wine Festival

The Santa Clara Art & Wine Festival will be held on Saturday, September 13, from 10:00 am-6:00 pm and Sunday, September 14, from 10:00 am-5:00 pm. For more information, visit: www.santaclaraartandwine.com.


Roberta Jones Junior Theatre (RJJT) Auditions

Do you dream of becoming an actor? Singer? Dancer? RJJT is holding Auditions for “A Year with Frog and Toad” on September 2 or 3 (choose one date), from 3:30-6:30 pm, at the Community Recreation Center, 969 Kiely Boulevard. For more information visit www.RJJT.org.

Beginning September 22, the Teen Center is offering morning and afternoon classes for teens, AND adults!

Get max-interval cardiovascular training with INSANITY. Learn and share information about pregnancy, nursing, and caring for your baby through the L.E.A.N Workshop. Gain instruction on basic rhythm, chords, and tablature in a Guitar class. Watch star dust burn and journey through a galaxy as you investigate the life cycle of stars with Mad Science. Take part in high-energy fitness parties packed with specially choreographed routines designed for ZUMBA KIDS. Discover some “fun”-damentals of science in SCIENCE ROCKS! Meet Mr. Bones and learn about the major organs and muscles in your body with BODY WORKS. For more information see flyer or the Activity Guide.


New Enrichment Program at the Teen Center: Breakaway Wednesdays is the place to be!

This program for 6-8 graders focuses on building leadership, service, and life skills, as well as friendship and peer support. Each session will introduce a new topic or continue a prior session’s topic. Registration includes daily snack, quiet homework time, guest speakers, and a field trip. Recreation Facility Closures
City offices are closed on Monday, September 1, for Labor Day and Tuesday, September 9, for Admissions Day.
