RFP: Primary Architecture & Engineering Firm For New International Swim Center and Swimming Hall of Fame

The City of Santa Clara is seeking qualifications from firms to provide professional planning, primary architectural design, and engineering services for a new George F. Haines International Swim Center, integration of the International Swimming Hall of Fame, and renovation of the Community Recreation Center in Central Park. The Firm (Team) selected will prepare and provide the City of Santa Clara with complete schematic design documents, a proposed project budget, phasing strategy options, a financial/business plan (capital and operations), strategic communications, and C.E.Q.A assistance. While the City of Santa Clara will be the lead client, coordination with City project partners will be needed including the Silicon Valley Aquatics Initiative (SVAI), the International Swimming Hall of Fame (ISHOF), and others as needed. As part of this selection process, the City of Santa Clara will have the option to retain the selected primary architectural and engineering firm for the remaining phases of the project through construction and close out, including the warranty period. Minimum requirements of Firms and detailed description of required services are included in Attachment.

There will be a pre-proposal conference meeting on Friday, August 22, 2014, from 1:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. in the City of Santa Clara’s Community Recreation Center Mission Room located at 969 Kiely Blvd., Santa Clara, CA 95051.
