On October 21, 2013, Wattis Construction Company is scheduled to begin construction of parking improvements along The Alameda. Mission Street, Camino Drive, Hilmar Street, and The Alameda “cut through” between Camino and Hilmar will be impacted. Weather permitting; the work should be completed by the end of January 2014.
The Project consists of constructing an additional 20 parking stalls for standard automobiles and 2 stalls for motorcycles. With the addition of these 20 parking stalls, there will be a total of 45 automobile parking spaces available on The Alameda between Mission Street and the southern limit of the businesses.
The Parking Improvements on The Alameda (Project) is proposed to serve business patrons for adjoining businesses and thereby minimize impact on residential streets.
A detailed description of the work, work times, and a traffic diversion plan from the Contractor is available online.
