Law Enforcement Torch RunĀ® To Come through Santa Clara
Benefitting Special Olympics Northern California
Posted Date: 5/27/2014

Whether you want to escort the Special Olympics Torch, the Flame of Hope, with other Law Enforcement personnel on its way to the Summer Games Opening Ceremonies or want to raise funds for Special Olympics, everyone in our Law Enforcement community is invited to participate.

Come out and cheer for our runners on June 19 as they carry the Flame of Hope through Santa Clara. The Santa Clara Police Department will receive the Flame of Hope from the San Jose Police Department at The Alameda and Newhall Street at approximately 1:30pm. We'll run along El Camino Real to Sunnyvale where we will hand off the Flame of Hope to Sunnyvale Public Safety (at The Fish Market) as it continues its journey to University of California at Davis for the Special Olympics Northern California Summer Games June 27-29.

Over 3,500 law enforcement personnel from Federal, Military, State, County and Local agencies participate in the Torch Run fundraising campaign.
