Driving Under the Influence
Location: De La Cruz Boulevard and Aldo Avenue
An officer spotted a vehicle driving erratically on De La Cruz Boulevard. The car had a blown out passenger side tire. The suspect displayed objective symptoms of alcohol intoxication and was unable to successfully perform field sobriety tests. He was arrested. While being processed in the temporary holding facility, the subject passed out. He was transported to a local hospital for alcohol poisoning.

Location: 3100 Block of Humbolt Avenue
Officers responded to a report of a residential burglary in progress. The reporting party had locked herself in a closet when unknown subjects had forced open the front door. Officers detained a male subject walking away from the area talking on a cell phone. A foot print on the front door matched that of the detained subject. A Records check revealed the subject was on parole. An investigation is pending to locate the balance of the suspects.
The reporting party was safely evacuated from the residence, with assistance from a Sunnyvale
Department of Public Safety K-9.

Location: 4100 Block of Great America Parkway
An officer was dispatched to the 4100 block of Great America Parkway to investigate a report of a theft from a vehicle. The victim returned to his rental car and found the right rear passenger window smashed and several items missing from his vehicle. The suspect(s) remain at large.

Location: 4901 Lick Mill Boulevard – Ulistac Park
An unknown suspect(s) vandalized the victim’s vehicle at Ulistac Park, located at 4901 Lick Mill Blvd. The suspect(s) broke the rear windshield wiper, shattered the rear passenger non-movable window and the rear passenger window with a small sledge hammer. The suspect(s) have not been located.

Location: 3400 Block of Granada Avenue
The male victim was walking through the parking lot of an apartment complex on the 3400 block of Granada when he was approached by a suspect at gun point for money. The victim complied and the suspect fled. An area search was conducted without success.

Disturbing the Peace
Location: 800 Block of Poplar Street
An officer was dispatched to the 800 block of Poplar Street on the report of a loud party. Upon arrival, officers witnessed approximately 20 individuals inside and another 5 individuals outside the residence. Loud voices could be heard from one city block away. There was alcohol present on the premises. Minors were not in possession of alcohol. The party was shut down.

Location: 601 El Camino Real - Santa Clara Police Department
The victim received multiple letters from credit card companies stating she had been denied recent attempts to open credit cards with their companies. The victim stated she had not recently applied for any credit cards. In addition, she received a bill from PayPal for purchases she did not make. An investigation is pending.
