State Water Resource Control Board adopts Emergency Water Conservation Regulations

Save Our WaterOn July 15th the State Water Resource Control Board (SWRCB) adopted Emergency Water Conservation Regulations in response to the ongoing drought throughout the State.  While most of the actions called for are already in place within the City of Santa Clara, it is expected that the final language of the regulations will require additional conservation actions.

Also on July 15th, the City of Santa Clara implemented a Water Conservation Action Plan with a goal of reducing city-wide potable water demand by 20%.  To achieve this water demand reduction goal, the Water Conservation Action Plan includes a list of recommended conservation actions which can be viewed here.
