Santa Clara, Calif. – November 16, 2006– Santa Clara City Library has again been rated one of the top libraries in the U.S. in an annual survey of libraries published in America Libraries, the journal of the American Library Association. It was ranked third among 329 public libraries in its population category of 100,000-249,999. Only one other California library made the rankings in another population category of over 250,000, the Santa Clara County Library.
The ratings for Hennen's American Public Library Ratings are based on a compilation of 15 weighted input and output measures such as expenditures per capita, percent budget to materials (collections), circulation of items per capita and volumes per capita. |
