Santa Clarans Honored For Outstanding Holiday Decorations

Santa Clara, Calif. - December 15, 2006 - Six homes have been recognized by the City of Santa Clara for outstanding decorations in the 20th Annual Holiday Decorations Awards program. Nominations made by the community were reviewed by volunteers from the Santa Clara Senior Center. Awards were based on originality, use of lighting, color, and festive mood. Winners selected from the nominated individual homes, in alphabetical order, are:

The Best Home	2976 Taper Avenue
The Cassidy Home	375 Los Padres Blvd
The Cassidy Home	2312 Bohannon Drive
The Robinson Home	1732 Los Padres Blvd
The Stannard Home	1450 Bellomy Street
The Starnes Home	3190 James Court

The Taper Avenue Neighborhood was selected to receive a neighborhood award for their holiday decorations. The best tree award went to the Best Family at 2976 Taper Ave.

Winners will receive Certificates of Appreciation at the Tuesday, January 10, 2006 City Council meeting, City Hall, 1500 Warburton Avenue in Santa Clara. Members of the public are encouraged to attend.
