“Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Oklahoma” Performed in Santa Clara
 

Santa Clara, Calif. – March 17, 2006 – Roberta Jones Junior Theatre presents the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical “Oklahoma!”

Audiences of all ages will enjoy this colorful and energetic tale of rivalry between farmers and cowmen in the early days of the state of Oklahoma. A cast of over 50 actors, ages 8-18, will perform this beloved musical, which is filled with hit songs, including “Oh, What A Beautiful Mornin,’”,  “The Surrey With the Fringe On Top,” and “People Will Say We’re In Love.”

“Oklahoma” has music by Richard Rodgers, Book and Lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II. Performances are March 31-April 9 2006, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:00pm, Sundays at 2:00 p.m. Performances are in the Mary Louise Mello Auditorium at the Santa Clara Community Recreation Center, 969 Kiely Blvd. Tickets are $2 for Children and $5 for Adults. Tickets are sold first-come, first-served on the day of the performance. The box office opens one hour before the show. There is General Seating, with no advanced ticket sales.
