Santa Clara, Calif. - January 26, 2006 - The City of Santa Clara currently has one vacancy on the Planning Commission for the term ending June 30, 2006. The deadline to receive applications for the commission is Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at 5 p.m., with the interviews to be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2006. Interviews will be held at the City Council Meeting, in Council Chambers.
The Planning Commission consists of 7 members, and advises the City Council on matters pertaining to the physical development of the City. It makes recommendations with respect to land subdivisions, zoning as prescribed by ordinance, etc. The Commission generally meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of most months at 7 p.m. in City Hall, 1500 Warburton Avenue, Santa Clara.
