Romantic Valentine's weddings performed at historic Harris-Lass House

Santa Clara, Calif. – January 21, 2006 – Santa Clara's historic 1865 Harris-Lass House, an Italianate Victorian home located at 1889 Market St. and fully furnished with period style furniture and décor, is available for weddings and renewal of vow ceremonies on Valentine's Day, February 14, and the day after, February 15.

The home's double parlors will be lavishly decorated in red, white, and pink flowers and decorations to resemble a wedding chapel with seating for approximately 45 guests. A rental fee of $60 for a 30-minute time block will cover arrangements for the ceremony, wedding music, wedding coordinator, and use of additional areas in the house for special photography. A minister or official to perform the ceremony, as well as a professional photographer, will also be available for an additional fee.

"Every couple's romantic Valentine wedding dreams will come true in the beautiful and unique setting of the quaint Harris-Lass Victorian farmhouse," stated Bob Byrd, event coordinator, who said Valentine's Day is traditionally a popular day for couples seeking a special venue for a small, intimate chapel wedding ceremony.

Advance reservations are required and must be accompanied by a non-refundable fee. Reception facilities will not be available at the Harris-Lass House on either February 14 or 15, and wedding couples must obtain their marriage license in advance from the County of Santa Clara.

For information and reservations, call Bob Byrd at 241-7311.
