| Mary Gomez Park & Pool |

An eight acre park, Mary Gomez has a swimming pool, two tennis
courts, basketball court and small children's play area. In
addition, the park has off-street parking, an open play area
suitable for games, picnic-barbecue facilities, and restrooms.
The park was named in honor of Mary Gomez, an outstanding Santa
Clara Unified School District teacher who also participated
in the development of the City's Parks & Recreation Department.
She also served on its first commission, which formulated the
City's policy to try to place a park in every neighborhood.
The pool is open during the summer only, and offers recreational
swim and lessons. Refer to the Recreation
