The UnderwoodsIn 1982, long-time Santa Clara resident Cleo Stuckrath, concerned about the possible closure of the Santa Clara Senior Center’s Health and Wellness Program, established the Santa Clara Women’s League and wrote and produced a melodrama that year, starring local talent, and raising money so that the program could continue. Through the years, “Showtime” has raised over a quarter of a million dollars to retain and support nursing services at the City’s Senior Center, while providing the community with some good old-fashioned entertainment and annual fun for the entire family.

HJ BlackbottomEach year, in early March, the Santa Clara Women's League sponsors Showtime. The annual production raises funds for the Senior Center's Health and Wellness Program.

The 2013 production was "Doomstown Fractured Fairy Tales, or Once Upon a Time."   The evening also included local talent, refreshments and raffle prizes.
