Ride Details

The Loop tour is Saturday, October 21, 2017, starting at 8:45 AM, at the San Jose Public Library Calabazas Branch.

The 25-mile route will start and finish at the Calabazas Branch Library.

• Calabazas Branch Library: Meet at 8:45 AM; Depart 9:30 AM
• Santa Clara City Library: Arrive 10:20 AM; Depart 10:40 AM
• Sunnyvale Public Library: Arrive 11:35 AM; Depart 11:55 AM
• Mountain View Public Library: Arrive 12:30 PM; Depart 12:50 PM
• Woodland Branch Library: Arrive 1:30 PM; Depart 1:50 PM
• Cupertino Library: Arrive 2:20 PM; Depart 2:40 PM
• Calabazas Branch Library: Arrive 3:00 PM; End of ride

Library stops will include library tours, snacks and activities.

In addition to having a bicycle in good working condition, please bring your own following items for a more comfortable and safer ride:

• Reusable water bottle

• Layers and/or weather-appropriate clothing

The Library 2 Library Bicycle Loop Tour is a fun tour for library lovers and bicycle enthusiasts. With the growing momentum of bicycle awareness, advocacy, and infrastructure in the Silicon Valley area, libraries are pursuing innovative bicycle-related services and programming. Hosting library bicycle tours increases the visibility of our libraries and gets librarians out into the community.

Library bicycle tours appeal to a broad demographic including young adults, adults and families. They bring people of all ages together and highlight the importance and significance of the library's role in the community and in bringing people together. Additionally, library bicycle tours get people of all ages out of cars and moving, showing that bicycling is a viable means of transportation to the library and everyday use.
