Not Your Grandparents' Dinosaurs! A New Look at Dinosaurs of Today

Did Velociraptors have feathers? An in-depth look on how far paleontology has come in understanding how dinosaurs looked, from their first discovery to today.  When humans first found them, they were thought to be dragons of ancient myths; but now they are something far more fascinating!

This talk will also delve into the paleo world of yesterday, where we will explore amazing looking creatures and unique sounds of the world 150 million years ago.

Lastly, we will observe our bird friends and how they have connected and changed our views of dinosaurs. Through the power of images, fossils, animations, and science, their world will be open to our eyes!

Hosted by Anthony Lenci, Adjunct Professor at SJSU.

For 2nd through 6th grade.
