Roberta Jones Junior Theatre continues our 49th Season with the modern classic Broadway musical "Disney's Beauty and the Beast." Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature, the stage version includes all of the wonderful songs written by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice. The Roberta Jones Junior Theatre production features a cast and crew of over 80 young people, ages 8-18, a live orchestra, and professional flying effects, provided by Flying By Foy. Performances are April 6,7, 13 and 14 at 7:00 p.m., April 8 and 15 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mission City Center for Performing Arts, 3250 Monroe Street, on the corner of Calabazas, at Wilcox High School. Tickets are $12 for adults, $6 for children (ages 3-18) and can be bought online at www.RJJT.org, or in person at the Community Recreation Center, 969 Kiely Blvd. in Santa Clara. The show is approximately 2.5 hours long and is appropriate for all ages. Roberta Jones Junior Theatre is a program of the City of Santa Clara Parks and Recreation Department.
