Community Service is a great way to introduce teens and tweens to on-the-job skills including soft skills (like public speaking, interpersonal communication, and listening skills), problem solving, and initiative. Learn from our experts how to maximize your community service experience so you can get a jump start on your future endeavors:

 

· Do a skills inventory to find out what types of opportunities would be suited for your future goals.

· How to pick the right community service opportunity.

· How to make a great impression your community service agency before, during, and after your finish your service.

· Learn how to keep in touch with the community service agency for future references and networking opportunities.

· How parents can support, encourage, and foster community service efforts before they volunteer at an agency.

· How parents can guide and motivate teens and tweens to do more community service.

For grades 7-12 and their parent(s).
