Also, during the June 4 meeting, the City Council will proclaim the month of June as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGTBQ) Pride Month. On Nov. 13, 2012, the City adopted Ordinance No. 1899 to “protect and safeguard the right and opportunity of all persons to be free from all forms of arbitrary discrimination, including discrimination based on age, race, color, creed, religion, national origin, ancestry, disability, medical condition, marital status, sex, gender, sexual orientation and gender identity.”
