Subject Matter Second Word Candidate Forum
Seats: Council Seats 3, 6, & 7
Time: 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Location: Santa Clara City Hall Council Chambers

This year, four seats on the Santa Clara City Council are on the ballot, with several candidates seeking election.  There are two Administrative positions, City Clerk and Police Chief, also on the ballot, with multiple candidates seeking election.

Subject Matter Forums are designed to elicit from candidates their understanding of and views on major functions of municipal government, specifically in the City of Santa Clara.  This may include discussions of budget, land use, levels of services, enterprise functions (such as municipal utilities and stadium authority).  This is not an exhaustive list, and there will be opportunities for questions to be submitted by members of the public, both in advance and at the forums.  (Note: Due to the large number of candidates, the Democracy Consultant will attempt to summarize questions, batch similar questions, and select a range of questions to be asked.  In other words, it is possible that not all questions that are submitted will be asked).

To submit questions or to RSVP, email SCVotes@santaclaraca.gov.
