City of Santa Clara
MenuWater Sustainability
Saving water is nothing new to Californians, but the need to conserve water and maintain a sustainable and resilient water supply has now become a critical issue for Santa Clara and much of the state. Even with some rain throughout the year, multi-year drought conditions have led to mindset shifts in how Californians use water.
The City of Santa Clara's Water and Sewer Department provide programs and services that support the community in conserving at home and at work through free conservation devices, water conservation rebates and water saving tips.
Additionally, the City continues to expand long-term municipal water conservation infrastructure projects and daily operational strategies across City facilities such as recycled water projects, irrigation improvements, native and drought tolerant plantings, sustainable parks strategies, water delivery efficiency and more.
